Apt Resources is hiring a Rough Diamond Evaluator for a critical role within our client's mining operations in Angola. You will be essential in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of the diamond classification and valuation process at the mining site.
What You'll Do
- Examine rough diamonds using loupes, microscopes, and other gemological tools.
- Grade diamonds based on the 4Cs – Carat, Color, Clarity, and Cut potential.
- Estimate market value using current pricing data and knowledge of international diamond markets.
- Maintain precise daily records of diamond parcels and evaluation results.
- Collaborate with geologists, mining engineers, and security teams to ensure safe handling and transport of stones.
What We're Looking For
- Deep expertise in evaluating, grading, and valuing rough diamonds.
- Proven experience ensuring compliance with international standards and industry best practices.
