Medtronic is hiring a Robotic Startup Specialist

The Robotic Startup Specialist plays a key role in advancing robotic surgery adoption across the EMEA region. You will work directly with hospital teams to launch and scale programs using the HUGO™ RAS-system, ensuring seamless integration into existing surgical workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with clinical leaders to define program objectives, success metrics, and implementation timelines
  • Lead regular performance reviews to track progress and adjust strategies as needed
  • Design and manage surgeon training curricula, including coordination of off-site Medtronic programs and proctored case support
  • Create tailored learning paths for support staff, guiding them through training and skill development phases
  • Be present during early surgical cases to assist both surgeons and operating room teams during the learning phase
  • Apply change management principles to gain stakeholder alignment and sustain engagement
  • Empower hospital teams to become self-reliant in system operations and maintenance
  • Collaborate with field service engineers and hospital staff to prepare operating rooms for robotic surgery readiness

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Biomedical Engineering or Nursing. Fluency in both English and Portuguese is required, along with a minimum of two years of hands-on experience in operating room environments or surgical support roles. The role demands frequent travel across the UK and Ireland—over 75% of time—so candidates must be based in or near Dublin with reliable access to the city. Multilingual abilities beyond the required languages are considered an asset.
