Responsibilities
- Creates and sustains an effective occupational health system aligned with the facility's size and operational demands.
- Applies nursing policies and care standards consistently, following medical directives, health protocols, and guidelines from the Occupational Health Manual.
- Maintains accurate, legally compliant records that support ongoing care while protecting employee privacy under HIPAA and confidentiality standards; follows OSHA and workers' compensation regulations and keeps OSHA logs up to date.
- Delivers empathetic, high-quality medical care to staff, including assessment, first aid, follow-up, rehabilitation, and counseling for both work-related and personal health issues.
- Manages workers' compensation cases by meeting state requirements, reporting eligible cases to third-party administrators, initiating internal tracking, and acting in accordance with legal and ethical care standards.
- Organizes employee health evaluations for return-to-work clearance, fitness for duty, and medical monitoring as directed by physicians and in line with safety and health policies.
- Supervises compliance with company drug and alcohol testing programs carried out by department personnel.
- Provides on-site medical care within the scope defined by state nursing regulations and authorized medical directives.
- May be required to work beyond standard working hours as needed.

Compensation
Base salary range: $67,000 - $75,000 per year
