Responsibilities

  • Schedule patient appointments and manage calendar updates
  • Greet patients and guide them through check-in procedures
  • Verify patient insurance and update demographic information
  • Maintain accurate electronic health records
  • Assist clinical staff with preparation for patient visits
  • Coordinate referrals and follow-up appointments
  • Answer phone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Distribute patient education materials
  • Support medication reconciliation processes
  • Process prescription requests and manage refills
  • Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and data security
  • Order and restock office and medical supplies
  • Assist with patient outreach for preventive care reminders
  • Track patient no-shows and reschedule appointments
  • Support quality improvement initiatives through data entry
  • Participate in team huddles and care coordination meetings
  • Escalate patient concerns to appropriate staff members
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
  • Assist with processing lab and imaging orders
  • Support patient registration during onboarding
  • Help coordinate transportation needs for eligible patients
  • Assist with prior authorization documentation
  • Monitor patient wait times and manage flow efficiently
  • Support telehealth visit coordination
  • Ensure all forms are completed and filed correctly
