Responsibilities
- Lead, guide, and support direct care team members to maintain consistent staffing and high standards of resident care across all shifts, coordinating shift coverage and staff notifications with program administration.
- Conduct routine staff check-ins, deliver performance feedback, and facilitate continuous learning and skill development; serve as the main contact for onboarding and training new team members.
- Collaborate with clinical professionals to ensure client care plans are followed and implemented effectively.
- Manage crisis situations, behavioral challenges, and emergencies using appropriate de-escalation techniques, and complete all required incident reporting.
- Work with medical personnel to supervise proper medication handling and administration procedures.
- Ensure accurate and timely recording of shift logs, client progress notes, and incident documentation.
- Act as a communication bridge between frontline staff, clinical teams, and program leadership.
- Perform regular safety inspections and maintain a clean, secure, and therapeutic residential environment.
- Participate in an on-call schedule to respond to urgent situations outside regular hours.
- Support quality improvement initiatives, including audits and the implementation of corrective actions.
