Washington University in St. Louis was looking for a Research Technician II - Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine

Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a Research Technician II to join the Lin Lab within the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine. In this role, you will assist with technical aspects of studies investigating the molecular regulation of endothelial cells in pulmonary diseases like lymphangioleiomyomatosis, sarcoidosis, and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with research studies, experiments, and assays, including data collection, solution preparation, and equipment setup and maintenance.
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized data files.
  • Prepare tissue cultures, reagents, and probe tests.
  • Comply with established safety procedures and maintain required documentation on laboratory and specimen conditions.
  • Ensure lab conditions and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained.
  • Assist with general lab maintenance and cleaning.

What We're Looking For

  • A bachelor’s degree; a combination of education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum education requirement.

Nice to Have

  • Up to one year of experience in a laboratory setting.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to produce detailed reports.
  • Experience with laboratory research and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency with common software programs.
  • The ability to work independently.
