About the Role

The role involves designing and executing in vivo studies using rodent models to evaluate novel therapeutics for cardiovascular and metabolic conditions, analyzing data, and collaborating across teams to advance preclinical programs.

Responsibilities

  • Design and conduct in vivo experiments using rodent disease models
  • Evaluate pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic relationships in preclinical studies
  • Analyze and interpret complex biological data from animal studies
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project strategies
  • Support target validation efforts through in vivo pharmacology
  • Develop and optimize animal models relevant to cardiovascular and metabolic diseases
  • Maintain accurate records of experimental procedures and results
  • Present findings to internal stakeholders and project teams
  • Stay current with scientific literature in pharmacology and disease mechanisms
  • Contribute to study reports and regulatory documentation
  • Ensure compliance with animal welfare regulations and ethical standards
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges in experimental models
  • Assist in the development of new assay methodologies
  • Integrate translational data to inform clinical development paths
  • Work closely with toxicology and safety assessment teams
  • Provide pharmacology expertise during compound selection phases
  • Participate in project planning and milestone setting
  • Utilize statistical tools for data analysis
  • Communicate results clearly in written and verbal formats
  • Support the identification of biomarkers for target engagement
