Role Overview
As Repair Manager, you will shape and oversee the repair operations for cutting-edge robotic drones designed to withstand impacts. Based in Lausanne, you'll ensure consistent service quality for both internal teams and external clients, while scaling processes to meet growing demand in a dynamic tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and optimize repair workflows to support expanding market needs
- Coordinate daily repair planning, providing updates on case status, progress, and obstacles to support and internal stakeholders
- Establish weekly reporting systems to track performance and identify bottlenecks
- Respond to customer demands by adjusting repair priorities and timelines as required
- Conduct initial inspections, diagnostics, and root cause assessments with input from R&D and Quality teams
- Carry out maintenance and repair tasks on robotic units, meeting defined quality benchmarks and turnaround times
- Perform quality verification during repairs, following established procedures
- Assemble and validate complex replacement components before deployment
- Develop and supervise regional repair centers to strengthen global service coverage
- Identify, onboard, and support partners to build a reliable international repair network
- Maintain training programs and ensure technical partners remain up to date and consistent in their work
Qualifications
Applicants should hold an engineering degree or equivalent technical background, along with at least five years of hands-on experience managing repair operations in robotics or high-tech industries. Fluency in both French and English is required. You must be detail-oriented, well-organized, and capable of driving operational improvements. Strong diagnostic skills, clear communication abilities, and a proven ability to train technical teams are essential. Occasional travel (approximately five trips per year) is expected.
