About the Role
The recruiter will source, screen, and engage independent contractors in the US who provide on-call technical services. This is a remote position focused on building a reliable network of skilled professionals.
Responsibilities
- Identify qualified candidates for on-call technical support roles
- Conduct initial screening interviews with potential contractors
- Evaluate candidates based on technical skills and experience
- Maintain accurate records of candidate interactions and status
- Communicate role expectations and requirements clearly
- Coordinate onboarding steps for selected contractors
- Ensure candidates meet independent contractor criteria
- Build a pipeline of available professionals for future needs
- Follow up with candidates to confirm availability and interest
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand staffing needs
- Provide updates on recruitment progress and metrics
- Maintain compliance with contractor classification guidelines
- Assess candidate responses to job-specific scenarios
- Verify professional references and work history
- Respond promptly to candidate inquiries
- Use job boards and professional networks to source talent
- Track candidate data in the company's recruitment system
- Ensure consistent communication throughout the hiring process
- Support diversity and inclusion in sourcing efforts
- Manage outreach campaigns to attract skilled individuals
- Handle sensitive personal information with confidentiality
- Align candidate qualifications with service requirements
- Monitor time-to-fill and other recruitment metrics
- Adapt sourcing strategies based on hiring trends
- Maintain awareness of labor regulations for independent contractors
Compensation
Paid per successful contractor placement, with rates based on role complexity and candidate qualifications.
Work Arrangement
Fully remote with flexible hours; must be available during US business hours at minimum.
Team
Part of the talent acquisition team supporting nationwide contractor staffing for technical services.
Independent Contractor Status
- This role is classified as an independent contractor under US tax guidelines.
- No benefits such as health insurance or retirement plans are provided.
- Contractors are responsible for their own taxes and insurance coverage.
- Work is project-based with no guaranteed minimum hours.
- Payment issued via invoice upon completion of agreed-upon deliverables.
Technology Requirements
- High-speed internet connection with minimum 25 Mbps download speed.
- Computer running Windows 10 or macOS 12 or higher.
- Webcam and headset for video conferencing.
- Reliable access to Google Workspace applications.
- Ability to install and use company-approved recruitment software.
