About the Role
The practitioner will deliver psychiatric evaluations, diagnose mental health disorders, and manage treatment plans remotely. Responsibilities include ongoing patient care, medication management, and collaboration with support teams to ensure quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations via telehealth
- Diagnose and treat mental health conditions in adults and adolescents
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessments
- Prescribe and manage psychiatric medications
- Monitor patient progress through scheduled follow-ups
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards
- Collaborate with care coordination teams when necessary
- Provide crisis intervention when indicated
- Educate patients and families about mental health conditions
- Adjust treatment strategies based on patient response
- Utilize evidence-based practices in clinical decision-making
- Respond to patient messages within defined timeframes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Stay current with clinical guidelines and best practices
Nice to Have
- Experience in telepsychiatry
- Background in trauma-informed care
- Familiarity with diverse patient populations
- Training in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Experience with mood and anxiety disorders
- Exposure to substance use disorder treatment
