About the Role
This position involves delivering psychiatric evaluation and treatment services to patients via telehealth. The practitioner will conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, prescribe medications, and monitor patient progress in a fully remote environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations through virtual platforms
- Diagnose and manage mental health disorders across diverse populations
- Develop individualized treatment plans for patients
- Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as needed
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
- Collaborate with care teams to support patient outcomes
- Ensure compliance with clinical protocols and standards
- Provide patient and family education on mental health conditions
- Respond to urgent clinical concerns within defined timeframes
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Adhere to confidentiality and HIPAA regulations
- Engage in ongoing professional development
- Support continuity of care across treatment settings
- Coordinate with external providers when necessary
- Conduct follow-up appointments and medication management
- Assess for risk of harm to self or others
- Document clinical decisions and rationale
- Uphold ethical standards in telepsychiatry practice
- Respond to patient messages within service guidelines
