Remote Patient Monitoring Specialist – Registered Nurse
Role Overview
Work at the forefront of digital healthcare as a Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM) Specialist. This fully remote position leverages your nursing background to support patients managing chronic conditions through continuous biometric tracking and virtual engagement. You'll operate within a structured 9am–6pm EST schedule, ensuring consistent patient oversight while working from home.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor incoming biometric data from remote devices including blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeters, glucometers, and weight scales
- Assess clinical alerts and apply protocols to determine urgency and escalation pathways
- Conduct scheduled phone or video calls with patients to evaluate symptoms, medication adherence, and overall well-being
- Provide clear instruction on device use and reinforce participation in remote monitoring programs
- Coordinate with physicians and care teams to adjust treatment plans and improve health outcomes
- Document patient interactions and clinical findings accurately in the Electronic Health Record (EHR)
- Identify signs of clinical deterioration and initiate timely interventions
Qualifications
Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing. Candidates should have 1–3 years of clinical experience, ideally in telehealth, home health, or care coordination settings. Proficiency in reviewing patient data, navigating EHR systems, and using telehealth platforms is essential. Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to work independently are required.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience in telemedicine or virtual care environments
- Holding a multistate or compact nursing license
- Fluency in more than one language
- Comfort with digital health tools and remote monitoring technologies
Work Environment
This is a remote position open to candidates worldwide, with the requirement to maintain availability during US Eastern Standard Time business hours (9am–6pm). You’ll operate in a flexible, home-based setup supported by a global team. A second monitor will be provided to enhance workflow efficiency.
