RoomPriceGenie is hiring an Engineering Manager with a Python background to join our new Reporting & Customer Journey team. In this role, you'll help shape our engineering culture and technical direction at a fast-paced, growing B2B SaaS company.
What You'll Do
- Manage a motivated team of backend and frontend engineers to build solutions that improve the customer journey.
- Cultivate a strong engineering organization and a vibrant development culture.
- Partner closely with your Product Manager and UI/UX Designer throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Work with the CTO and other Engineering Managers to shape our ways of working.
- Spend up to 50% of your time coding and shaping our technical direction.
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of professional development experience with Python.
- 1-2 years+ of experience managing an engineering team, including conducting 1on1s, performance reviews, overseeing projects, and providing technical coaching.
- Advanced expertise in Python web frameworks, particularly Django.
- Strong understanding of software design principles that drive quality and maintainability.
- Excellent communication skills, a high ownership mentality, and an egoless, empathetic team-player attitude.
- Fluent in English, with the ability to engage deeply in technical discussions.
- Based in the European Time Zone (UTC+0 / UTC+2) to align with our team's schedules.
Nice to Have
- Located in Mannheim, Germany.
- Hands-on experience with Django, Snowflake, DataDog, and AWS.
