About the Role
This role is responsible for leading public affairs initiatives within a specific region, engaging key stakeholders, and promoting awareness of the organization’s mission through strategic communication and partnership development.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with community leaders, churches, and nonprofit organizations
- Serve as a regional representative at public events and media functions
- Coordinate local outreach campaigns to increase listener engagement
- Identify partnership opportunities with local organizations
- Deliver presentations about the network’s mission and programming
- Monitor regional media trends and community needs
- Support station acquisition and donor relations efforts
- Gather community feedback and report insights to headquarters
- Organize and lead regional volunteer initiatives
- Collaborate with marketing and content teams on localized messaging
- Manage regional budget allocations for outreach activities
- Track and report on engagement metrics and campaign outcomes
- Respond to public inquiries about the network’s services
- Represent the organization at interfaith and community events
- Promote underwriting and sponsorship opportunities
- Assist in crisis communication efforts as needed
- Ensure brand consistency across regional activities
- Facilitate onboarding for new regional partners
- Support national initiatives through local implementation
- Maintain accurate records of outreach and contacts
- Travel frequently within the assigned region
- Adapt strategies to meet diverse cultural and regional needs
- Conduct training sessions for local volunteers and partners
- Identify emerging community leaders for collaboration
- Support fundraising efforts through relationship building
Nice to Have
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience in radio or digital media outreach
- Bilingual communication skills
- Existing network of community contacts in target region

Time Zone Requirement
Applicant must reside in and be available during Mountain or Pacific Time Zone business hours
