Responsibilities

  • Monitor and address all incoming rate requests promptly, referring complex cases to appropriate personnel when necessary.
  • Establish, manage, and update standard rates, discounts, and fixed-fee agreements within the billing platform.
  • Analyze client engagement letters, understanding of terms documents, outside counsel guidelines, and related communications to determine rate stipulations, extract essential details, and apply compliant rate models efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Revenue Team to supply rate documentation and support resolution of electronic billing rate denials or inconsistencies.
  • Ensure timekeeper and rate information is current and correct, conduct routine data reviews, and produce reports on rate adherence, deviations, and authorizations.
  • Communicate with legal staff, billing personnel, and pricing specialists to quickly resolve questions and inconsistencies related to billing rates.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, prioritize and respond to all rate inquiries in a timely manner, escalating complex issues as appropriate.
  • Set up, maintain, and update standard rate arrangements, discounts and fixed-fee arrangements in the billing system.
  • Review Client engagement letters, Letters of Understanding, Outside Counsel Guidelines (OCGs), and any other client correspondence to interpret rate requirements, summarize key terms, and implement compliant rate structures in the most efficient and beneficial way available.
  • Partner with the firm's Revenue Team (RT) to provide documentation supporting implemented rates and assist in resolving e-billing rate rejections and discrepancies.
  • Maintain accurate timekeeper and rate data, perform regular audits, and generate reports to rate compliance, exceptions and approvals.
  • Liaise with attorneys, Revenue Team members, and the pricing team to resolve rate-related inquiries and discrepancies efficiently.
