As a Rapid Prototyping Engineer, you will lead the creation and refinement of early-stage prototypes that explore new possibilities in electronics, software, and integrated systems. Working within a dedicated Future Tech Lab, you'll conduct hands-on experiments, analyze sensor data, and assess technical feasibility to guide strategic product development in the field of sustainable agriculture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and iterate on functional prototypes, combining expertise in mechatronics, embedded systems, and software engineering.
- Investigate emerging technologies, including AI/ML, vision systems, robotics, and sensing solutions, through practical experimentation.
- Design and validate test setups to evaluate performance, accuracy, and system reliability under real-world conditions.
- Analyze data from prototypes to identify risks, limitations, and opportunities, providing clear recommendations for next steps.
- Collaborate with specialists in electronics and software, contributing critical insights and challenging assumptions to improve outcomes.
- Document findings thoroughly and support decision-making with evidence-based analysis and constructive feedback.
Qualifications
- Completed higher education in Mechatronics, Computer Science, Embedded Systems, or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Python and C++, with experience turning concepts into working models and analyzing results.
- Proven background in prototyping environments, with 3 to 7 years of hands-on development and testing experience.
- Deep knowledge in at least one domain: embedded systems, robotics, AI/ML, vision, sensing, or exploratory software engineering.
- Ability to conduct rigorous technical assessments and translate findings into actionable guidance.
- A proactive mindset with a focus on identifying data trends, questioning assumptions, and driving improvements.
- Comfortable working independently while contributing to team goals through shared learning and critical thinking.
