Responsibilities
- Own the complete testing lifecycle for designated projects from start to finish.
- Create and execute test strategies, plans, and methodologies that support business objectives.
- Be accountable for delivering testing milestones on time and meeting quality benchmarks.
- Serve as the primary contact for all testing-related matters with internal and external parties.
- Build, enhance, and maintain automated testing frameworks using Java, Selenium, RestAssured, and BDD with Cucumber.
- Determine which test scenarios are best suited for automation and maximize coverage efficiently.
- Review automated test scripts to ensure they follow coding and quality guidelines.
- Integrate automated testing into continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
- Improve the efficiency and speed of automated testing over time.
- Manage testing across multiple levels including functional, regression, system integration, and user acceptance support.
- Ensure test cases are accurately designed, reviewed, and executed.
- Verify alignment of test coverage with business requirements.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of automation test engineers.
- Assign tasks, monitor progress, and support team productivity and growth.
- Conduct regular reviews of test cases, automation code, and defect documentation.
- Manage the full lifecycle of defects from discovery to resolution.
- Oversee defect classification, prioritization, and root cause investigation.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to resolve issues quickly.
- Generate and deliver daily or weekly status updates, reports, and dashboards.
- Attend sprint meetings, release planning, defect triage sessions, and project calls.
- Clearly communicate quality risks, dependencies, and performance metrics to stakeholders.
- Establish and uphold standardized testing processes, policies, and best practices.
- Promote quality-focused initiatives and drive process enhancements across projects.
- Ensure adherence to both company and client-specific quality requirements.
