About the Role
This role involves creating and maintaining automated test frameworks, identifying defects, and collaborating with development teams to ensure high-quality software delivery through continuous integration and testing practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute automated test scripts for web and mobile applications
- Collaborate with software developers and product teams to understand requirements
- Identify, report, and track bugs and performance issues
- Design and maintain reusable test automation frameworks
- Perform regression, integration, and system testing
- Ensure test coverage aligns with functional and technical specifications
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines
- Conduct API testing using appropriate tools and protocols
- Review software requirements for testability and completeness
- Improve testing processes through feedback and metrics analysis
- Support deployment activities with pre- and post-release validation
- Maintain documentation for test plans and procedures
- Validate user interface consistency and responsiveness
- Work in agile project environments with iterative delivery cycles
- Ensure compliance with accessibility and usability standards
- Monitor application performance under various conditions
- Assist in root cause analysis of production issues
- Stay current with emerging testing tools and methodologies
- Participate in code and test case reviews
- Promote quality best practices across the development lifecycle
Nice to Have
- Certification in software testing or quality assurance
- Experience with performance testing tools such as JMeter
- Knowledge of accessibility testing standards like WCAG
- Experience in federal or government digital projects
- Familiarity with Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) frameworks
