Role Overview
As a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC), you’ll deliver comprehensive outpatient behavioral health services to adult and adolescent patients in a fully remote setting. This full-time position emphasizes individualized care, combining medication management and psychotherapy within an interdisciplinary team framework. Enjoy the freedom of flexible hours—typically between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday—without the burden of on-call responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Engage in a collaborative care model alongside psychiatric and mental health professionals
- Assess, diagnose, and manage psychiatric conditions including mood and anxiety disorders, personality disorders, and substance misuse
- Customize treatment plans, adjusting visit frequency and duration based on patient needs
- Provide individual psychotherapy, medication management, and, when appropriate, family or group therapy
- Conduct psychological evaluations as clinically indicated
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow established protocols post-session
- Coordinate care with consulting psychiatrists and other licensed providers
Qualifications
Candidates must hold active licensure as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner in Colorado or Massachusetts. Experience treating behavioral health conditions such as depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, anxiety, and substance use disorders is essential. Supervision will be provided by licensed consulting psychiatrist(s).
Board certification through the PMHNP-BC examination is strongly preferred.
