Responsibilities
- Lead the strategy for ingesting and managing data and release inputs from partner teams, including schematics, bills of materials, and related updates.
- Map product releases to specific build stages and assess design risks associated with prototype development.
- Collaborate with design teams to refine harness design workflows, emphasizing rapid iteration and accommodating changes due to early data availability.
- Serve as the primary resource for EDS expertise, supporting multiple development teams with technical insights for design and diagnostic needs.
- Apply existing knowledge to develop creative short- and long-term solutions for evolving design challenges.
- Support full lifecycle design and assembly of advanced prototype systems, with focus on integrating early electronic control units and end devices for comprehensive hardware and software validation.
- Cover a broad design scope including system architecture, wiring harnesses, lightweight mechanical structures, and system integration.
- Conduct detailed technical assessments of prototype requirements, aligning them with vehicle program timelines and working proactively with teams to validate upcoming features.
