Responsibilities
- Create specialized consensus protocols covering ballot progression, leader selection, and fork-free attestation coordination
- Develop integration with Bitcoin through stake bond structures using taproot outputs and timelocked penalties, cryptographic verification via BLS signatures and hash trees, and proof validation workflows
- Implement peer-to-peer communication and remote procedure call or command-line interfaces for protocol functions such as ballot dissemination, leader announcements, state queries, and operator controls
- Construct data storage and indexing solutions to track protocol state, including bonded assets, historical ballots, and attestation records with tolerance for chain reorganizations
- Build robust testing frameworks featuring multi-node simulations, edge case analysis, fuzz testing, and denial-of-service scenario validation, along with thorough code reviews across all layers
