About the Role
The Proteomics Sales Specialist will expand market reach for advanced protein analysis systems by building relationships with researchers and institutions across EMEALA, translating scientific needs into effective solutions, and supporting long-term customer success.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in proteomics within assigned territories
- Engage with academic, biotech, and pharmaceutical customers to understand research goals
- Present technical and commercial aspects of proteomics platforms to diverse audiences
- Collaborate with field applications scientists to deliver product demonstrations
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers
- Translate customer needs into tailored solution proposals
- Support contract negotiations and pricing discussions
- Coordinate with marketing to adapt messaging for regional markets
- Track and report sales activities and forecasts in CRM system
- Attend scientific conferences and industry events to promote offerings
- Stay current on proteomics trends and competitive landscape
- Provide feedback from customers to inform product development
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal sales policies
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets
- Deliver training sessions on proteomics workflows to potential users
- Work cross-functionally with technical support and logistics teams
- Manage territory planning and customer segmentation
- Respond to technical inquiries with accurate, science-based information
- Facilitate pilot studies and evaluation projects
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of instrumentation and assay performance
Nice to Have
- Prior experience selling proteomics platforms
- Existing network of contacts in EMEALA research communities
- Familiarity with next-generation protein detection technologies
- History of launching new products in competitive markets
- Experience in quota-carrying sales roles in biotechnology
Compensation
Competitive base salary plus performance incentives
