Responsibilities
- Observe daily operations to confirm alignment with organizational safety guidelines, OSHA requirements, NFPA 70E standards, and other relevant regulations.
- Perform routine on-site safety evaluations and audits, emphasizing electrical risks, fall prevention, lockout/tagout procedures, and other critical hazard areas.
- Ensure work crews are equipped with appropriate personal protective equipment, tools, and machinery in functional condition.
- Lead or support safety onboarding sessions and daily toolbox discussions.
- Clearly convey safety expectations to staff, subcontractors, and site visitors.
- Deliver immediate feedback and coaching to reinforce safe work practices as situations arise.
- Recognize hazardous conditions and risky behaviors, record observations, and track resolution of corrective measures.
- Support the development of Job Hazard Analyses and Pre-Task Planning to proactively address risks prior to task initiation.
- Respond to workplace incidents, near misses, and first aid occurrences with appropriate coordination and support.
- Carry out initial incident investigations and contribute to root cause assessments.
- Keep detailed and current records of safety inspections, reported incidents, and related safety activities.
- Collaborate with project leadership, on-site supervisors, and corporate safety personnel to uphold site safety standards.
- Help create and execute safety plans tailored to specific project sites.
- Ensure subcontractors adhere to established safety protocols and compliance requirements.
