Responsibilities
- Direct the full lifecycle management of intricate landscape design initiatives, maintaining alignment with financial, timeline, and quality benchmarks
- Assess team capacity and project demands to allocate work efficiently and maintain balanced workloads
- Formulate and execute strategies to manage and reduce project backlogs effectively
- Evaluate and authorize design proposals, technical drawings, and construction specifications to meet professional standards and client requirements
- Partner with leadership to define, implement, and uphold quality assurance and quality control protocols across project deliverables
- Perform hands-on design and documentation tasks when necessary to support project deadlines while maintaining a leadership role
- Lead resolution of project conflicts through negotiation and collaborative problem-solving techniques
- Support team member development by mentoring and encouraging a culture of innovation, teamwork, and high performance
- Deliver training and guidance on design methodologies, project execution, and industry standards to strengthen team capabilities
- Contribute to performance appraisals and compensation assessments as required
- Manage project financials, track profitability, and apply strategies to optimize fiscal outcomes without compromising design excellence
- Engage in contract formulation and financial planning for service offerings
- Examine billing documentation for accuracy, consistency with project scope, and timeliness, coordinating with stakeholders as needed
- Generate and deliver detailed progress reports to leadership, highlighting milestones, performance metrics, and improvement opportunities
- Build and sustain strong client and stakeholder relationships to generate repeat business and new project opportunities
- Lead the creation of proposals, presentations, and qualification materials that showcase firm expertise and design approach
- Support the coordination and facilitation of public engagement activities, including workshops and community meetings, to gather input on design plans
- Assist in shaping the strategic direction of the landscape architecture practice in alignment with broader organizational goals
- Monitor and incorporate emerging trends in landscape design and sustainable practices to maintain competitive advantage
- Collaborate with professionals across disciplines to support integrated project delivery and improve overall outcomes
- Coordinate with government agencies, local authorities, and community groups to ensure regulatory compliance and permit adherence
- Strengthen collaboration with internal support functions such as Accounting, Human Resources, and Administration to improve operational effectiveness
