Responsibilities
- Lead Design-Build and alternative delivery projects from early strategy through construction and close-out
- Act as the single point of accountability for scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety outcomes
- Drive project execution strategies that integrate design, construction, and stakeholder requirements
- Coordinate closely with contractors, joint venture partners, consultants, and internal teams to ensure constructability and alignment
- Lead multidisciplinary teams across architecture, engineering, and project controls
- Ensure seamless integration between design development and construction execution
- Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting (EAC), fee management, and margin optimization
- Oversee change management, contract administration, and commercial risk management
- Monitor progress against key milestones and implement corrective actions as required
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks (technical, commercial, and delivery)
- Ensure compliance with AECOM’s quality management systems and safe work practices
- Lead project reviews and ensure audit-defensible documentation
- Serve as the primary client interface, building trusted relationships and ensuring delivery excellence
- Lead coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs), permitting bodies, and regulatory stakeholders across BC
- Facilitate effective communication across all project stakeholders
- Support capture strategies, proposals, and client engagement activities
- Contribute to strengthening AECOM’s Design-Build presence in Western Canada
- Identify opportunities for repeat work and client expansion
Requirements
- Experience leading Design-Build and alternative project delivery models (Progressive Design-Build, Alliance, IPD)
- Proven leadership in delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure or building projects
- Strong integration skills across design and construction disciplines
- Demonstrated accountability for project scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams including architects, engineers, and project controls
- Expertise in project controls: budgeting, forecasting (EAC), change management, contract administration
- Risk management experience including technical, commercial, and delivery risk identification and mitigation
- Client-facing experience with ability to serve as primary client interface
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and coordination with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) in BC
Nice to Have
- Experience in Metro Vancouver or Western Canada project environments
- Track record of contributing to business development, capture strategies, and proposals
