Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end civil engineering projects, overseeing all phases from initial planning through construction support.
- Act as the main liaison between clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to align on project objectives, schedules, and financial parameters.
- Build and sustain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality service and managing expectations effectively.
- Seek out opportunities for follow-up projects and client referrals to support business growth.
- Supervise and guide project teams, offering direction, feedback, and professional support.
- Promote teamwork and open communication among designers, subconsultants, and team members to ensure efficient collaboration.
- Guide the development of civil engineering designs, including site layouts, utility systems, stormwater solutions, grading, and infrastructure plans.
- Ensure all designs adhere to technical specifications, regulatory codes, and internal quality benchmarks.
- Create, monitor, and maintain project budgets and timelines to guarantee on-time and on-budget completion.
- Assign resources strategically to meet deadlines and anticipate potential project challenges.
- Lead permitting activities, coordinating with local authorities to secure timely approvals and regulatory compliance.
- Respond to agency feedback and manage the site permitting process efficiently.
- Identify potential project risks and resolve technical or design issues quickly to minimize disruptions.
- Address problems that could affect schedules, budgets, or client relations before they escalate.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of all project outputs by reviewing drawings, reports, specifications, and design documents.
- Manage external partners such as subconsultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure timely and compliant deliverables.
- Work closely with third parties to support smooth project execution and integration.
- Support business development by identifying new project leads, preparing proposals, and joining client meetings.
- Help shape strategies to grow market reach and strengthen client presence.
- Carry out supervisory duties in line with company policy and legal requirements, including task assignment, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.
- Mentor junior staff and emerging project leaders to strengthen their technical and management capabilities.
- Encourage knowledge sharing and ongoing professional development within the team.
- Produce and deliver regular project updates covering progress, budget status, and risk analysis.
- Maintain thorough and organized project records for internal use and client access.
- Perform additional tasks as needed to support project success.
