AECOM is hiring a Project Engineer, Mechanical

Responsibilities

  • Design, coordinate projects in transportation domain, in various projects like Metro/LRT/MRT, Rail or Road tunnels, and Hospitals, Healthcare facilities, Residential/Commercial Buildings/Data Center projects ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure full compliance with current Building Services Legislation and Engineering Standards.
  • Develop and implement mechanical building services design solutions.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and calculations.
  • Support the preparation and review of Mechanical design drawings.
  • Working on several projects simultaneously.
  • Provide technical information required for manuals and other documentation.
  • Liaise with BIM co-ordinators and leading activity in order to ensure that the design packages are produced to the required timescales and standards of quality.
  • Provide support to the Project Managers during the design, installation commissioning and testing phases of the project, ensuring the timely production of all necessary documentation.
  • Liaise as necessary with existing and potential customers and their representatives.
  • Ensure that there is full adherence to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality management policies and procedures in all work undertaken.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with relevant technical consultants and suppliers.
  • Participates in development of technical proposals.

Requirements

  • Possession of either a Masters or a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in design consultancy firm in mechanical engineering or related engineering area, with a proven track record of working in any Metro/LRT/MRT projects, Rail or Road tunnels, Data Center, Hospitals, Healthcare facilities, Residential/Commercial Buildings projects.
  • Registered with Board of Engineer (BEM)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Understanding of sustainable design practices and their application in mechanical engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in working with BIM at different levels of detail like Levels of Development (LODs) ranging from 200 to 400.
  • Familiarity with local/international building codes and the procedures for submitting designs to relevant authorities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in the use of specialized engineering software, including HAP, E20 and any Fire hydraulic calculation software like Elite or FHC etc.
