Martin/Martin, Inc. is hiring a Project Engineer

The Project Engineer supports civil engineering initiatives in infrastructure, site development, and residential sectors. This position oversees projects from initial planning through design, bidding, construction, and closeout, balancing technical accuracy, client communication, and team supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates with internal teams and external project groups to ensure seamless collaboration
  • Creates, tracks, and manages project work plans, timelines, and design budgets
  • Maintains client satisfaction and develops skills to resolve client-related challenges
  • Initiates projects, sets up budgets, and provides necessary documentation to accounting; follows established closeout procedures
  • Leads engineers and CAD/BIM technicians to deliver project tasks
  • Oversees small to medium-sized projects or segments of larger initiatives
  • Acts as the main contact for clients and contractors throughout project lifecycle
  • Engages in technical or production committees and special initiatives to support organizational objectives
  • Performs additional duties as required

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program
  • Proven ability to lead projects with technical responsibility
  • Civil engineering candidates must have at least six months of experience as a licensed Professional Engineer

  • Structural engineering candidates: experience in at least two different engineering groups
  • Structural and Investigative engineering candidates: two years of Professional Engineer experience and completion of the 16-hour structural engineering exam
  • Has managed multiple projects from development through all design phases to construction completion and closeout
  • Demonstrates strong field observation and documentation skills
  • Experience with CDOT or local agency projects
  • Possesses CDOT certifications in Construction Inspection, Erosion Control, and/or Traffic Control
  • Holds and maintains a valid U.S. driver’s license
