Responsibilities
- Plans and oversees complex engineering initiatives from concept through execution.
- Leads project teams by setting deadlines, assigning tasks, resolving issues, and ensuring timely, high-quality outcomes.
- Designs software, hardware, or integrated systems and develops associated specifications and test protocols.
- Evaluates the technical viability and practicality of proposed engineering tests, products, or equipment.
- May supervise engineers, designers, and technicians working on assigned projects.
- Provides technical support to internal teams as required.
- Acts as primary contact with external organizations to resolve issues and align on project goals.
- Coordinates laboratory testing and prototype development when needed.
- Manages contractor activities during construction or renovation of plant facilities, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, and specifications.
- Takes lead on design and layout responsibilities for special projects.
- Secures competitive bids for upcoming engineering initiatives.
- Ensures proper documentation and recordkeeping for all project-related activities.
- Attends project meetings as required.
- Maintains regular communication with maintenance, procurement, production, and warehouse teams.
- Performs additional duties as assigned.
- Leads capital planning efforts to support long-term facility and infrastructure development.
