AECOM is hiring a Project Controls Lead

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team responsible for maintaining project schedules, cost tracking, forecasting, and change management across all reporting levels.
  • Guide and support project controls staff in completing various project-related tasks.
  • Review pending assignments with team members, adjust priorities, and communicate updates to relevant projects or clients.
  • Support the project management team during project initiation and implementation phases.
  • Communicate findings from budget, cost, and schedule evaluations to project managers and leadership; identify risks and opportunities, and aid in creating recovery strategies when necessary.
  • Hold review meetings with project leadership or clients to assess project status and flag negative deviations in cost or schedule for timely intervention.
  • Ensure all project controls functions comply with project requirements and contractual statements of work, including schedule development, cost reporting, cash flow projections, and variance assessments.
  • Lead coordination meetings involving internal project teams, approvers, finance, and accounting departments.
  • Validate the accuracy and reliability of the Earned Value Management System.
  • Participate in team meetings to assist in resolving challenges, evaluate progress reports, and assign new work items.
  • Track key performance metrics such as earned value, cost and schedule performance, estimates to complete, and projected project completion dates.
  • Analyze purchase orders and subcontract commitments, track spending, and maintain a database to align subcontractor funding with authorized work and actual expenditures.
  • Interpret client contracts and subcontracts, focusing on scope, timeline, budget, and risk elements; collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
