Indigo Books & Music is hiring a Product Operations Manager- Contract 1 Year

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire a team to achieve high levels of operational performance and support profitable product movement across all lifecycle stages.
  • Evaluate sales data and process metrics to identify inefficiencies and develop targeted improvement strategies.
  • Collaborate on visual audit reviews, contribute product flow expertise, and lead execution of follow-up actions.
  • Oversee changeover execution and coordinate with leadership on corporate merchandising and facility projects.
  • Manage all aspects of visual presentation, in-store product placement, back-of-house organization, promotions setup, and markdown execution.
  • Advocate for the customer by centering their needs in all operational and service decisions.
  • Support the adoption of innovative technologies that enhance customer engagement and service quality.
  • Anticipate evolving customer demands and proactively adjust operations to meet expectations.
  • Oversee daily store opening and closing procedures and manage sales floor operations.
  • Lead the store's joint health and safety committee and prioritize the well-being of staff and visitors.
  • Ensure full compliance with provincial health and safety regulations and internal policies.
  • Recruit and develop top-tier talent to build a capable and resilient team.
  • Empower team members to grow and reach their full potential through support and challenge.
  • Deliver honest, constructive feedback on individual performance and future potential.
  • Ensure team members have clear performance goals aligned with organizational and departmental objectives.
  • Share expertise openly and actively seek learning opportunities from more experienced colleagues.
  • Help team members understand how their work contributes to broader goals and encourage collaboration.
