Responsibilities
- Performs quality assessments on finished goods and incoming materials at production, storage, and distribution sites.
- Operates or modifies inspection tools to meet quality benchmarks and recommends improvements to methods, standards, and equipment.
- Identifies root causes of quality failures and advises production leads on corrective actions.
- Evaluates circumstances of individual quality issues to determine appropriate responses within established guidelines.
- Supervises personnel conducting product measurements and tests, and oversees data collection on material and process performance.
- Collaborates with manufacturing sites, vendors, and clients to ensure products meet required specifications.
- Oversees adherence to established yield targets and monitors performance against them.
- Manages and updates product cost documentation to reflect current production expenses.
- Keeps accurate records of production timelines and output metrics.
- Prepares and retains inspection logs, audit results, yield summaries, and related quality reports.
- Tracks key performance indicators and supports the 5S workplace organization system.
- Participates in initiatives aimed at improving production processes and operational efficiency.
- May be assigned additional tasks as needed by management.
Compensation
This position is eligible for the company’s annual bonus plan; incentive amounts vary and are subject to program terms. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage starting after 60 days, paid time off including vacation, sick leave, and six observed holidays, and a 401(k) plan with company match beginning after one year of service, following the company’s vesting schedule.
