Responsibilities
- Drive product development process: Lead and drive the product development timeline from initial sample through to production approval, ensuring all critical milestones are met on schedule.
- Manage projects & issues: Manage multiple development projects simultaneously. Proactively identify and resolve technical, quality, testing or fit issues during sampling and production to ensure on-time delivery.
- Communicate & Coordinate: communicate daily with overseas product developers on development, commercialization, and technical feedback, and clearly relay comments to factories using official comment sheets. Coordinate with cross-functional teams (PDM, Quality, Costing, Planning, Testing, etc.) to address potential risks or delays.
- Maintain Standards & Documentation: Uphold company quality, fit and construction standards throughout development and production
- Track report on sample submission deadlines and approval status. Development costs against budget, and factory production progress with key metrics
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience in footwear development, or product engineering in brand or manufacturing factory.
- 1-3 years of experience in footwear development or product engineering, within a brand or manufacturing.
- Understanding of the product development process
- Highly detail-oriented, stay organized, and do well in fast-moving environments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, good team players
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written) is essential.
- Ability and willingness to travel is needed (approximately 20%).
