About the Role
The Product Designer will play a key role in evolving the core user experience of a fast-growing web-based construction planning platform. This person will collaborate with product, engineering, and stakeholders to transform user needs and business goals into intuitive, polished, and user-centered designs. The ideal candidate is curious, collaborative, and driven to solve real-world challenges through thoughtful design.
Responsibilities
- Enhance product usability and lead the development of new features, including ambiguous initiatives where you help define solutions alongside product management.
- Engage directly with users through research planning and facilitation, understanding their workflows, and converting insights into actionable design strategies.
- Take full ownership of design projects, proactively identifying next steps, making evidence-based decisions, and clearly justifying design rationale.
- Apply various prototyping techniques to test ideas quickly and gather iterative feedback.
- Clearly present design concepts and decisions to cross-functional teams, engineers, and stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with team members, offering constructive critique and maintaining high standards for design quality.
- Support and enhance the design system by using it consistently, contributing improvements, and identifying expansion opportunities.
Compensation
$75,000 - $115,000 CAD yearly salary range (commensurate with relevant experience).
