Responsibilities
- Directs the creation and enhancement of sourcing strategies and procurement processes, systems, and tools across the region.
- Manages a portfolio of direct and indirect spending exceeding $800 million, spanning multiple categories such as laboratory supplies, technology, travel, fleet, professional services, field equipment, logistics, and facilities.
- Builds and sustains strong regional relationships with key business stakeholders to align procurement activities with organizational goals and improve profitability.
- Supports the growth of regional category subject matter experts and advances supply chain and category management initiatives.
- Acts as a key contributor to the regional Procurement Leadership Team, shaping strategy and executing procurement programs in line with internal governance.
- Identifies and drives projects that elevate the maturity of procurement and vendor management functions.
- Develops and enhances reporting frameworks, governance models, knowledge sharing, and internal communications across procurement functions.
- Implements strong risk controls over the supply base through effective contracts, financial monitoring, SLAs, KPIs, and adherence to corporate policies.
- Proposes, designs, and rolls out best practices and policies in sourcing and procurement.
- Supports the implementation of advanced supplier performance and relationship management systems.
- Leads efforts to manage and streamline a large supplier base to improve regional supply chain efficiency.
- Provides strategic guidance to cross-functional teams to reduce total cost of ownership for indirect spend.
- Ensures full compliance with corporate policies, systems, and internal controls.
- Follows established internal standards and completes additional tasks as required.
