Community Health Center Retail Pharmacy Technician

Cardinal Health seeks a highly motivated technician for a company-owned retail contract pharmacy. Our technicians are crucial in delivering pharmaceutical care to underserved communities, developing meaningful patient relationships, and supporting pharmacists in accurate prescription preparation and dispensation.
Cardinal Health manages the West Cecil Health Center in Conowingo, MD and is currently recruiting a PRN Pharmacy Technician for flexible coverage during staff absences.
The pharmacy operates Monday through Wednesday from 7:30am to 7:00pm, Thursday from 7:30am to 4:30pm, and Friday through Saturday from 7:30am to 2:00pm.
Responsibilities
- Maintain professional interactions with pharmacy staff, physicians, nurses, and medical personnel
- Adapt to evolving pharmacy department requirements
- Consistently provide customer/patient availability
- Maintain consistently friendly and helpful customer demeanor
- Ensure pharmacy safety through strict procedural compliance
- Organize medications by profiling prescriptions, preparing labels, and calculating quantities
- Guarantee medication availability through patient delivery and strategic ordering
- Support team objectives through collaborative efforts
- Collaborate with pharmacy team to implement 340B best practices
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Maryland Pharmacy Technician registration required
- Minimum 2 years retail pharmacy technician experience preferred
- 340B experience preferred
- Potential vendor credentialing requirement
Anticipated hourly range: $21.20 per hour - $27.18 per hour.
