About the Role
This role is responsible for supporting privacy compliance initiatives by managing data subject requests, maintaining records, and assisting with audits and assessments to ensure alignment with applicable privacy laws and internal policies.
Responsibilities
- Process and track data subject access requests in a timely and compliant manner
- Maintain up-to-date records of data processing activities across departments
- Assist in conducting privacy impact assessments for new projects and features
- Support internal and external audits related to data protection practices
- Collaborate with legal, security, and engineering teams on privacy-by-design integration
- Monitor changes in privacy regulations and recommend operational updates
- Help implement and refine privacy policies and procedures
- Coordinate privacy training for employees and contractors
- Document data flows and processing purposes for compliance reporting
- Respond to internal inquiries about data handling practices
- Evaluate third-party vendors for privacy compliance readiness
- Maintain inventory of data processing agreements
- Escalate privacy incidents according to defined protocols
- Support cross-border data transfer mechanisms including SCCs and GDPR compliance
- Ensure retention and deletion practices align with stated policies
- Contribute to privacy program metrics and reporting
- Assist in managing consent management platforms
- Review product designs for potential privacy risks
- Update privacy notices and disclosures as needed
- Work with IT teams to enforce data minimization principles
- Track compliance deadlines for regulatory submissions
- Standardize workflows for privacy operations tasks
- Use case management tools to log and resolve privacy issues
- Provide input on privacy aspects of system integrations
- Support certification efforts such as ISO 27701 or other privacy frameworks
