Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive engineering programs by connecting executive strategy with technical implementation across all stages.
- Collaborate with Perception and Platform teams to integrate edge inference considerations—such as thermal performance, compute limits, sensor placement, and serviceability—into early hardware planning.
- Work with engineering leaders to advance early R&D, including proof-of-concepts and component evaluations, to inform future product roadmaps.
- Establish, manage, and enforce phase gate reviews and key milestones throughout the hardware development lifecycle to ensure quality, cross-functional alignment, and executive readiness.
- Oversee the complete New Product Introduction process—from EVT through PVT—ensuring vendor deliverables support a smooth ramp to mass production.
- Partner with Engineering and Growth teams to define hardware scope, incorporating field insights, deployment limitations, and regulatory needs, while maintaining focus on core program goals.
