Responsibilities
- Design, architect, and implement game features and gameplay mechanics using Unity and C#.
- Introduce and integrate new technologies and tools in collaboration with content teams.
- Analyze and enhance core systems as necessary.
- Refine existing or new features and user interfaces.
- Optimize code and memory for high-performance simulations under strict constraints.
- Break down large tasks and systems with minimal guidance, and assist in delegating work.
- Collaborate with other engineers to manage multi-week or month-long projects.
- Conduct technical presentations on architectures you have developed.
- Identify and address team and process inefficiencies.
- Provide mentorship to other engineers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent education/experience.
- Six or more years of experience in the game industry or mobile app development.
- Proven track record of shipping titles and/or managing live games.
- Expertise in C#, C/C++, or similar programming languages.
- Three or more years of experience with Unity.
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and software methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working in a team environment.
Nice to Have
- Experience with git.
- Experience with performance profiling and optimization.
- Mobile development with a focus on iOS and Android.

Compensation
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $120,600 and $178,500 per Year in Illinois, and between $114,300 and $169,140 per Year in Toronto. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
