Responsibilities

Drive key improvements in Elasticsearch to build a top-tier vector database with exceptional search performance and accuracy.
Dedicate full-time effort to developing new search capabilities, resolving complex technical issues, and simplifying code maintainability, including designing novel algorithms or optimizing low-level system interactions.
Collaborate with a global team of skilled engineers focused on advancing vector search functionality in Elasticsearch.
Serve as the go-to authority on vector similarity implementation, guiding improvements through deep technical insight and continuous learning.
Engage with a worldwide community by reviewing issues and pull requests, prioritizing tasks, and collaborating across expertise areas.
Develop clean, efficient, and modern Java code, as the platform is predominantly written in Java.
