Responsibilities
- Lead a group of engineers focused on designing, developing, documenting, testing, and troubleshooting a widely used consumer application.
- Act as the primary technical authority and expert for specific product domains.
- Work closely with product and design teams to assess user needs and convert design mockups and requirements into technical specifications and system architecture.
- Help manage Agile workflows such as sprint planning, daily standups, product demos, and retrospective meetings.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to maintain alignment on architectural standards and system design.
- Develop, update, and support backend services using Go and possibly other languages, along with tools like gRPC/Twirp, Ent, and AWS platforms, to manage APIs, microservices, and event-driven systems.
- Create comprehensive automated test suites and follow Behavior Driven Development methodologies.
- Define and manage cloud infrastructure using the Serverless Framework.
- Conduct code reviews and improve team processes for code quality assurance.
- Offer deep technical knowledge in web technologies, APIs, databases, and cloud platforms, including React, TypeScript, Go, gRPC, Twirp, Ent, Serverless Framework, and AWS services such as EventBridge and Aurora.
- Mentor and guide team members through technical challenges and professional growth.
- Oversee the development of detailed technical documentation outlining architectural decisions.
- Assess and recommend emerging technologies and frameworks for integration into the technology stack.
- Support and enforce data security practices in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
