Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of core system architecture, including specification, design, and development of control and data plane services, ensuring robust and fault-tolerant integration within a standalone platform.
- Design and maintain a scalable and extensible API framework using technologies like REST or gRPC, ensuring proper data modeling, version control, and long-term compatibility for internal and customer-facing integrations.
- Develop a comprehensive observability strategy encompassing metrics, logging, and distributed tracing to monitor platform health, performance, and the Airflow instances managed by the system.
- Ensure platform architecture supports multiple deployment models, including private cloud and isolated zero-egress networks, with consistent behavior across varying security and connectivity constraints.
- Serve as the primary technical authority, converting enterprise requirements into actionable engineering plans while collaborating with product and executive teams.
- Promote engineering excellence by leading design reviews, contributing high-impact code, and mentoring senior engineers in technical and professional growth.
