Medtronic is seeking a Principal Enterprise Software Engineer to join us in advancing our mission to alleviate pain, restore health, and extend life. You will apply your deep technical expertise to design, develop, and maintain high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms, collaborating within a global team of passionate engineers.
What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, product managers, and backend developers to deliver high-quality products.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize app performance.
- Ensure the security, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience developing and deploying mobile applications on both iOS and Android.
- Proficiency in native development languages: Swift/Objective-C for iOS, Kotlin/Java for Android.
- Experience with at least one cross-platform mobile framework (Flutter, React Native, etc.).
- Solid understanding of mobile app architecture, design patterns, and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with app store submission processes for both Apple App Store and Google Play Store.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to Have
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines for mobile applications.
- Knowledge of mobile security best practices.
- Familiarity with automated testing frameworks for mobile apps.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Knowledge in FDA and ISO design control requirements is a plus.
