Responsibilities
- Lead a team of engineers by providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
- Analyze current systems to identify opportunities for enhancing reliability, speed, and cost efficiency
- Partner with engineering teams to advance CI/CD pipelines and streamline deployment workflows
- Implement automation across all feasible operational and deployment processes
- Champion ongoing enhancements to infrastructure and development practices
- Keep current with emerging technologies and industry standards to inform system design and implementation
- Maintain and support production environments with prompt incident resolution
- Create and maintain documentation for procedures and recommended practices
- Collaborate with architects to define and record environment configurations and system changes
- Develop visual representations of networks, infrastructure layouts, security models, and data flows
- Evaluate, introduce, or develop tools that increase operational efficiency and reduce system risks
- Ensure regular system scanning and timely remediation of identified security flaws
- Design technical solutions and communicate implementation strategies to delivery teams and executives
- Identify and resolve issues early by troubleshooting during development and testing phases
- Serve as a point of escalation for complex technical incidents
- Provide training and mentorship to engineers and other team members
