Responsibilities
- Design and build cloud-based analytics platforms using Power BI components and Snowflake infrastructure such as virtual warehouses, schemas, and performance tuning features.
- Lead end-to-end development cycles using agile methodologies, covering solution design, implementation, testing, documentation, and ongoing support.
- Enforce data governance through implementation of row-level and object-level security, data versioning, endorsement workflows, and dependable data refresh processes.
- Map source systems to target models and create optimized star or snowflake schemas for analytical and semantic reporting layers.
- Develop standardized semantic models and reusable calculation logic using DAX measures and calculation groups.
- Improve query and model efficiency via aggregation strategies, incremental data refresh, model size optimization, and Snowflake performance techniques like caching and clustering.
- Establish production-grade data pipelines with defined schedules, workflow automation, monitoring alerts, and service level agreements.
- Deliver advanced technical support using ServiceNow, including issue triage, root cause investigation, and management of stable software releases.
- Collaborate with technical and business teams to gather requirements, facilitate design sessions, and deliver functional prototypes and visual mockups.
- Create high-impact dashboards and reports that enable product analytics and operational decision-making.
- Promote engineering excellence through code and architecture reviews, comprehensive documentation, and cost-performance awareness across systems.
- Evaluate new cloud analytics technologies and ensure adherence to regulatory standards and internal procedures, including training and compliance protocols.
