Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain gravure or multi-color offset printing presses for single, two, and multi-color jobs involving solid fills, screen tints, line work, and halftones with precise color and registration standards
- Analyze job details to determine proper press configuration based on run layout, including sheet-wise or work-and-turn setups
- Complete all required make-ready procedures such as installing plates or cylinders, inspecting for defects, verifying image placement, preparing blankets, and adjusting tension and registration
- Adjust ink settings and press parameters before production to ensure print quality meets exact color and alignment specifications
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and upkeep of equipment, including minor repairs and replacement of damaged or worn components
- Carry out scheduled preventive maintenance tasks as specified by equipment manufacturer guidelines
