Responsibilities
- Set up, calibrate, and run single or multi-color offset printing presses
- Carry out all required make-ready procedures, including mounting plates or installing cylinders
- Inspect plates and cylinders for defects and verify proper image alignment
- Prepare press components such as blankets and adjust tension and register settings
- Make color and press adjustments to meet quality standards before production begins
- Ensure consistent print quality throughout the production process
- Clean and lubricate press equipment regularly
- Perform routine maintenance tasks as specified by equipment guidelines
- Conduct minor repairs and replace damaged or worn parts as needed
- Follow manufacturer recommendations for periodic maintenance schedules
