Responsibilities
- Verifies job specifications and configures the press setup accordingly before each run
- Checks fountain solution, inking systems, paper rolls, and reel-related components for proper function
- Maintains accurate inventory levels of paper stock
- Tracks and documents paper usage and waste using SPC reporting methods
- Unwraps, mounts, and prepares paper rolls for splicing operations
- Monitors paper feed throughout production to ensure continuous operation
- Installs and prepares new paper rolls as needed during production
- Collaborates with press operators and other assistants on preventive press maintenance
- Supports maintenance staff in diagnosing issues and performing press repairs
- May assist in make-ready procedures before production begins
- Adjusts ink, solvent, and varnish levels to achieve or maintain required color standards by location
- Follows and upholds all safety protocols, including hazardous waste handling, lockout-tagout procedures, and use of hearing and eye protection
- Performs additional assigned tasks and contributes to special projects as directed
- All Solution Delivery staff must comply with documented processes outlined in the ISO Quality Manual
Compensation
$3 per hour shift premium; $1000 sign-on bonus
