Responsibilities
- Examine incoming digital files from clients to confirm they are complete and ready for plate creation
- Adjust print job formatting using desktop publishing software to match paper size specifications
- Establish page layout considering folds, trims, bleeds, gripper areas, and apply crop marks and color bars when needed
- Detect missing or faulty elements in files and report them to customer service, clients, and production staff
- Collaborate directly with customer service, clients, and production teams to resolve job-related issues
- Import client-provided digital files into the system for use during manufacturing output
- Create color proofs for client approval when required
- Arrange image imposition and operate computer-to-plate (CTP) systems and bending/tabbing machines to produce press-ready plates
- Conduct quality inspections on completed plates prior to releasing them for production
