Responsibilities
- Design and manage internal data systems that collect, verify, and organize market, weather, pricing, operations, and settlement data from internal and external sources.
- Develop and maintain robust datasets and analytical platforms to support asset optimization, cash trading, and portfolio risk assessment.
- Analyze large-scale time-series data to detect pricing trends, congestion patterns, basis risk, volatility factors, and other market signals relevant to company assets.
- Automate routine workflows and reporting using SQL, Python, and related technologies to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and consistency.
- Build dashboards and reports that deliver clear insights into market dynamics, portfolio results, and key commercial risk metrics.
- Provide quantitative analysis, scenario modeling, and market intelligence to inform trading and asset management decisions.
- Assist in validating settlements, tracking collateral needs, and evaluating post-trade or post-dispatch performance.
- Support integration of new assets, markets, and data sources by establishing reporting formats, commercial perspectives, and monitoring systems.
- Track changes in ISO/RTO market rules, regulatory updates, and new opportunities impacting battery storage, solar, and related commercial strategies.
- Collaborate with asset management, trading, operations, finance, and third parties to align analytical outputs with commercial execution.
- Help build a structured, scalable internal analytics function to support broader commercial growth initiatives.
- Complete additional tasks and special projects as directed.
